Like, what's the difference between system and exec and what do the sigils stand for. The other two were much more serious, like "When you were using mod_perl and you got a 'variable will not stay shared' what sort of error was that and how did you fix it?" Other questions were "Explain closures" and "How would you determine the number of gas stations required in X city?" Wild stuff. But fun. I try not to be outcome-oriented (I have a gig, so I'm not pressed for work), and look at them as fun learning experiences.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3185710566617725438.post-7173858281565812272009-07-22T16:25:35.252-07:002009-07-22T16:25:35.252-07:00I've interviewed a lot of candidates and filte...I've interviewed a lot of candidates and filtered out 90% with three simple questions:

- what versions of perl have you used?
- what modules have you used?
- what modules do you like?

The remaining 10% gets real perl questions, including about internals (how does an AV work).

Hope your interview went well.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3185710566617725438.post-24246889716515454522009-07-22T14:26:48.943-07:002009-07-22T14:26:48.943-07:00How did it go?How did it go?mohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16572874972361942994noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3185710566617725438.post-35699023034080053662009-07-22T01:31:49.235-07:002009-07-22T01:31:49.235-07:00Good luck with the interview!Good luck with the interview!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
